Theresa Sainato

Theresa Sainato, our beloved and cherished Wife, Mother, Grandma, and Great-Grandma passed away peacefully at her home in Bountiful, Utah on Saturday, August 6, 2011 with her devoted husband by her side. Terry was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. Upon completion of her schooling, she moved to New York, where she met and married her sweetheart, Michael Thomas Sr., in January of 1950. They raised 3 children: Michele, Denise and Michael, Jr., and have lived in New Jersey, California, Arizona and Utah during their 60 year marriage. Terry was an avid crafter and artist. She loved music and all things Southwest. In addition to her career as an activities director for a retirement facility, she volunteered her bilingual services to Spanish and French students alike. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, and will be remembered by family and friends for her great sense of humor and kind and generous nature. Terry is preceded in death by her daughter, Michele, and her son, Michael. Terry is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Denise (JT); sisters, Jacqueline (Jimmy) and Gloria; grandchildren, Kristin (Chad), Nicole, Jason, Michael (Natalie) and Gina; great-grandchildren, Justine, Alexis, Jalissa, Janiyah, Daymon, Jackson, Collin and Holly; and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved them all. Special thanks to South Davis Home Health and Vistacare Hospice. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Bountiful, Utah. Burial will follow at Farmington City Cemetery.
