Thomas Dee Bartholomew
1942 – 2014

Tom was born June 14, 1942 in Holladay, Utah, to Pat and Bessie Bartholomew. He grew up on a family farm with parents, grandparents, brother Richard, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Tom was educated in the Granite School District where he played football, baseball and competition skiing at Granite High School. He also attended the University of Utah. Tom had two sons, Ryan and Allen, who preceded him in death.

In 1978, Tom met his life’s companion, Vicky Carlsson, and they enjoyed many years together. Best of all, they loved the wilderness areas and spent many summers hiking,
camping and enjoying the solitude. In later life, Vicky was his primary care giver with help from her family in Tom’s struggles with diabetes and kidney failure.

Per his request, there will be no formal funeral services, but we hope that those who knew him will remember him often.
