Tiffani Renae Balling

April 12, 1992 — June 19, 2015

“A little life with Big Goals”

Tiffani loved life and loved to share happiness with all those around her. From the moment she was born she was always on the go and never stopped. She was active every minute of her life and loved to be doing things with her family and friends. She learned to swim at a very young age and loved water sports. She learned to wakeboard before her older brother but encouraged him to keep up with her as they tried new tricks. There was nothing more enjoyable than to watch Tiffani and her other brothers as they each knee boarded together behind the boat at Bear Lake. The tricks were impressive and the laughter was very contagious.

Tiffani graduated with high honors from Davis High School in 2010 and was part of the Swimming and Track teams. She was also a very accomplished violinist and was part of the Davis High Orchestra. Tiffani was active in gymnastics and was asked to compete at a higher level but chose instead to spend more time on vacations with her family. She traveled throughout the country but her favorite place was always the ocean.

Tiffani had a very specific plan for her life which included graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in bio-chemistry and then go to Oregon to receive a Master’s in Marine Biology. Tiffani knew that the cure for cancer was somewhere to be found in the ocean and she was going to find it. Tiffani also loved spending time in nature and seeing close up the beautiful things in this world. She was an avid rock climber and loved to go on climbing adventures with her friends. She was always up for the challenge of a good rock cliff to climb.

Tiff had a strong work ethic and loved to work hard at her jobs. Many times she would work 80 hours a week at two jobs. She loved her job as a server because she could meet and talk with so many people and try to make their day a little better. Because of her hard work Tiffani was financially independent and had just bought her first house that she could make her own with her two dogs Jake and Finley. She loved her dogs very much and took them with her everywhere even to the end. Most of all Tiffani loved her family. She always brought life into every family gathering. The first questions that were asked about a family event was “is Tiff coming”, or “will Tiff be there”. Although Tiffani can no longer be with us, her spirit and love for life will always be a part of us. Tiffani passed away with her two dogs Jake and Finley while traveling through Logan Canyon to spend the weekend at Bear Lake with her family.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother Jean Andersen Chamberlain. Tiffani’s family remaining includes her parents Chris and Sonya Balling, Kaysville; brothers Bryson Joseph (B.J.) Balling and his wife, Lexi Balling, West Valley; Elder Ethan Balling (Florida Tallahassee Mission), Spencer Balling (18), Malcolm Jack Balling (9), and her only sister Bethany Balling (16) with whom she had a very strong bond, and her grandparents Jack and Karma Balling, Bountiful; and Dennis Chamberlain, Roy, along with many other wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and very good friends. Rather than a viewing, we would like to invite all Tiff’s family and friends to an evening of celebration of her life. Please come and join us Friday June 26 from 7 to 9 pm to share your stories and thoughts of Tiff at the Kaysville Main Street Church located at 500 South Main Street, Kaysville. Funeral services for Tiffani will be Saturday June 27, 2015 at the same Kaysville Main Street Church. Viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and services starting at 11 am. Interment will be at the Kaysville, City Cemetery.
