Timothy Cardell Wilson was born August 12, 1959 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. Tim departed this world peacefully, surrounded by his family and closest friends, at his home in Woods Cross, Utah on May 28, 2016.
Tim never met a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone of good intentions. Tim was intensely curious all his life. He enjoyed learning new things and always sought to understand how things worked. He was phenomenally talented with his hands. He could draw like an artist, crochet, design and sew clothes and fix motorcycles and cars. Tim could simply do anything he set his mind to do. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with his family and friends. He also enjoyed superhero movies and comics, Captain America being his favorite superhero all his life. Tim was rarely seen without a smile on his face. He enjoyed telling funny stories, jokes and good naturedly teasing and being teased.
Tim had an open and forgiving heart and was one the most nonjudgemental people on the planet. He was very intuitive when meeting others and seemed to know exactly what help they might need in their lives. He loved and was loved in return by many people who called him friend. He was called “dad” by many whom he took under his wing to mentor and care for. For some he was the only father figure in their lives. He loved animals, and it was not unusual for animals to be drawn to him. Tim especially loved his dogs Jake, Bear and CeCe.
Tim was the faithful husband to Tara Wilson whom he loved very much. Besides Tara, he is survived by his children, Shane Wilson, Amber Wilson, Ryan Lewis and his wife Sephora, Tristan Wilson, Justin Andrews and his fiancee Tera, Shane Butterfield and his brother Ian Minderman and his wife Tara. Tim was a grandfather to Neveah Haire, Nikolas Wilson and Brook Wilson. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Katherine (Goodwin) Minderman.
Tim was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and loved his church family. Riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles was a passion for Tim nearly all his life. He now makes his final ride to his Heavenly Father’s home. He will be missed everyday by his family and friends. Tim had the appearance of a regular human being, but we know he was anything but? He was our superhero.
Memorial services for Timothy will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1500 South 800 West in Woods Cross, Utah. Please leave online condolences for the family at www.russonmortuary.com.
