Our beloved Timothy Clinton Wangsgaard, husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and dear friend, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Tim had been involved in a motorcycle accident earlier in the day. A lifelong resident of Kaysville, Utah, he is the son of Perry C. and Claudia Johnson Wangsgaard. Our dear Tim was born on August 21, 1970 in Ogden Utah. He graduated from Davis High School and attended Weber State University, focusing on architecture and physics. He served an honorable LDS mission in Little Rock Arkansas and upon returning home married his sweetheart, Kristine Terry. They have 6 beautiful children together. He has served in many positions in the LDS Church, with one of his favorites being his current calling in the Primary.
One of his dreams was to own his own business. He opened an auto repair shop, venturing out on his own for several years, giving all that he had to it, as he did everything else. He then worked for 16 plus years for Davis School District, and has been serving on the State Executive board for the Utah Schools Employees Association for the past year. He is currently the President of the Davis Education Support Professionals. He served on the liaison team, insurance committee and was very involved in the classified employees association. Tim fought hard for other employees even to the exclusion of his own welfare. He wanted everyone to be treated fairly. He always stuck up for the “little guy”.
People were drawn to Tim. He loved to help people. Anyone who met him could tell immediately that he was kind, tender, caring, honest and intelligent. He radiated warmth that wrapped around you as tightly as did his big bear hug. Tim devoted himself to his family, friends and colleagues.
Tim is survived by his wife (Kris), 6 children (Brooks, Jake, Nikole, Tate, Grant, Lukas) his mother (Claudia) and brother (Lucas) and many much-loved aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in Death by his father and grandparents.
A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, April 14th at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah (across the street from his Grandfather’s orchard where he, his brother, and cousins spent many happy hours). The funeral will be held Friday, April 15, at 2:00 pm, at the LDS Chapel at 201 South 600 East, Kaysville, with a viewing from 1:00-1:45 pm. Interment: Kaysville City Cemetery, led by a motorcycle brigade from the church to the cemetery.
Our hearts are broken, but we know we will all be together again.
