Travis Lloyd Cable, age 38, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday July 3rd 2018. Travis' birthday was as unique as he was, born on February 29th 1980 made him a leap year baby. Travis was born in the Lakeview hospital in Bountiful, UT to his loving parents David Cable and Shannon (Lee) Cable Burrup. Travis was an intelligent, quirky, happy young boy who grew up in Bountiful, UT where he met lifelong friends causing mischief in his east bench neighborhood. Travis graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1998 and could be seen driving around in his famous old mail carrier jeep with banana chairs in the back. Travis met and married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Carly (Colvin) Cable at the age of 18 on October 17th 1998. Travis was a brilliant self-taught Web Developer who had an uncanny knack for solving problems through innovative ideas and strategies. Travis was a success at everything he did and was looked up to by all who knew him. Carly was able to stay at home with their four beautiful children (Saige 15, Tristan 13, Kaitlyn 11 and their adopted son Beckham who just turned 15 months). Travis, Carly and their children enjoyed the outdoors, traveling to exotic locations, dirt biking and just being together. Travis touched every life he came into contact with, and was nothing short of extraordinary. He had a way of making people feel important and never took himself or life too seriously. To know Travis was to love Travis. Travis was kind hearted, gentle, sensitive, loyal, funny, thoughtful and brilliant. Travis was an amazing son, brother, husband, father and friend and will be deeply missed. Words cannot express the sorrow and devastation we feel in losing such an amazing soul so early in life. May your essence forever shine on, you crazy diamond, in the lives of all who knew and loved you. Travis is survived by his wife Carly, his four children; Saige, Tristan, Kaitlyn, Beckham, his father and step-mother David and Denise Cable, his mother and step-father Shannon and Bradley Burrup, his three siblings and their spouses Jason Cable (Kristi), Melissa Sheppick (Ronnie), Courtnie Montgomery (Brian) and many step siblings, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8pm Thursday July 12th at the Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, UT. Travis' funeral will take place the following day, Friday July 13th (yes we are aware it is Friday the 13th. Travis loved being different and would have embraced the uniqueness of this date. July 13th was also Dave and Shannons original wedding date) from 11am-2pm at the Island View Park in Centerville, UT. Dress code is casual as Travis lived in shorts and a T-shirt and would not want it any other way.
