Trevor Alan Hansen, age 20, unexpectedly took his own life on April 17, 2019. He was born in Bountiful, Utah on July 14, 1998 to Jill Bangerter and Peter C. Hansen. Trevor was raised in the small town of West Wendover, Nevada. He was the oldest of three children and was an amazing big brother to his brother Logan and sister Kylie who absolutely adored him. Trevor was very intelligent, and a kind and loyal friend.
Trevor did well in school, graduating from West Wendover High in 2016, where he had enjoyed playing football, and running track and cross country. After graduation, he moved to Bountiful, Utah to attend the University of Utah. After one semester he decided to find another path, but remained living in his grandparents' home until his death.
As a child Trevor loved trains, superheroes, all things Star Wars, Legos, Bionicles, and video games. As Trevor got a bit older, his love of video games grew, especially for Super Smash Brothers which he began playing in tournaments. He also began playing the trading card game Force of Will, and in recent years enjoyed meeting up with others to play.
Trevor is survived by his parents, siblings, grandparents Walt & Niki Hansen and Alan & Diane Bangerter, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Bountiful Utah North Stake Center 1540 North 400 East Bountiful, Utah. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/donate/).
