Trudee Hopkins Fuller

Our incredibly loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, Trudee Hopkins Fuller, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2024. Her legacy of love, service, and compassion will forever be remembered. 

Trudee was born on April 23, 1941, to Clyde Martin and Donna Hopkins in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Jefferson Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High, South High, and the University of Utah. As a young girl, Trudee was adventurous and loved horseback riding, fishing, hunting, camping, and archery. She was on the state-champion debate team in high school. Before getting married she worked as a phone operator for Mountain States Telephone and worked at Purity Biscuit. 

She married her high school sweetheart, Larry E. Fuller, on September 28, 1961, in the Salt Lake Temple and was a lifelong, active, and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many ward and stake callings. Larry and Trudee have lived in their current home for 50 years. 

She enjoyed traveling, reading, writing poetry, crocheting, and having family parties. She loved cooking and enjoyed providing food and treats to share with neighbors, friends, and family. 

Trudee cherished her family and especially enjoyed spending time with and surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She deeply loved her neighbors and members of the Bountiful 4th Ward and will be remembered as a strong, witty, loving, Christ-like woman who was a great example to all. 

Trudee is survived by her husband Larry, children Todd (Shy) Fuller, Susan (David) Garrett, Troy (Shaunna) Fuller, Trisha (Brett) Davis, and Mandy (Paul) Davis. They have 5 children, 19 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren. She has two brothers, Martin (Judy) Hopkins, and Scott (Mona) Hopkins. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Bountiful 4th Ward Chapel, 102 East 1400 South, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Wednesday morning 10:00 - 10:40 a.m. prior to services.
