Our dear, sweet, beautiful baby boy, Turner La’akea Eddy, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of July 1, 2013. Our little boy was a wonderful surprise to us and we loved having him with us these last three months.
Turner came to us at a hefty 9.5 pounds and was 19.5 inches long on April 4 2013, three weeks earlier than he was due. He had blue eyes, a head full of brown hair, and an interesting little red birthmark at the nape of his neck.
Turner has been healthy and strong since the day he was born. He could hold his head up and stand on his own two legs. Turner had chunky legs, chunky arms, and chunky cheeks. He loved to be tickled and sung to. He always had smiles for everyone and was just starting to giggle and laugh. Turner always made others smile and was a precious gift from heaven to our family.
Turner’s middle name “La’akea” means sacred light in Hawaiian. He is now our morning sunshine and our evening sunset. He will shine over us every day until we can be together again. Mommy, Daddy and big sister are truly going to miss this little bundle of happiness and joy.
We know that when Turner went to heaven he was received by his big brother Benjamin, his Grandpa Mack, and other loved ones who have passed on before us.
Little Turners physical body will be buried atop his Grandpa Mack. On resurrection day, Turners physical body will rise in the arms of his Grandpa. This gives his Mommy and daddy comfort knowing that he is not alone and that Turner is being taken care of.
Until we meet again, rest in eternal love our sweet Turner.
Turner is survived by Mommy Mahealani, Daddy Charles, Big Sister Annabelle, Great-Grandparents Henry & Patricia Eddy, Great-Grandparents Tom & Georgeanna Larsen, Great-Grandparents Don & Fran Lyon, Great-Grandparent Betty Jean Van Beuge, Grandparents Corey & Rhonda Eddy, Grandma “Puna” Wilma Mack, Grandparents Randolph & Debrorah Van Beuge, lots of aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
You are welcomed to attend the viewing on Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 8:30am – 9:45am at the Salt Lake Hunter East Stake Center, located at 5000 West Pavant Avenue in West Valley City, Utah 84120. Services will be held at 10:00am at the same location. Burial services will take place at 1:30 pm at the Smithfield City Cemetery, located at 300 East Center Street, Smithfield, Utah 84335. A balloon release will be held after the dedication.
Donations are welcomed to help pay for Turner’s funeral expenses.

Services will be held at 10:00am at the same location. Burial services will take place at 1:30 pm at the Smithfield City Cemetery, located at 300 East Center Street, Smithfield, Utah 84335. A balloon release will be held after the dedication.
