Tyler Jason Overton passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in the loving arms of his wife, surrounded by his family. Ty fought a courageous battle with the complications of liver cancer. He never let it break his spirit and remained a badass until the end.
Ty was born November 10, 1972 in Salt Lake City, UT to Adrian and Clara Mae Overton. He was the youngest of five brothers. He grew up in Woods Cross, UT where he graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1991. Ty soon after received his journeyman and later his master plumbing license which led to his career.
In 1994, Ty married the love of his life, Amanda Olsen. Ty and Amanda started their family in Centerville, UT and later moved to Layton, UT where they raised their five children.
Ty started his own plumbing company in 2002, Wasatch Plumbing Inc. Over the years, Ty has built his company into a successful business and passed the legacy down to his family.
Ty was an avid sports fan, passing the love of the game down to his children. He attended every possible game of theirs that he could. He was a die hard BYU sports fan despite all the criticism from his friends. Ty had a huge passion for fly fishing where he spent numerous hours tying his own flies. He also had a love for camping, boating, hunting, and rallying his Razor with his family.
Ty was a man with a huge personality and was always the life of the party. His laugh was contagious and he was always the funniest person in the room, according to him as he was his own biggest fan. Ty had a huge heart and was very generous. He was always the first to help and would give anyone the shirt off his back.
Ty is survived by his wife of 28 years, Amanda Overton and their five children: Markie (Kason) Anthon, Kiley (Dan) Moskalov, Calie (Brenden) Barrett, Sage Overton, and Ian Overton; his two grandsons Baylen and Stetson; his loving mother Clara Mae Overton; his four brothers: Todd, Troy, Mike and Trent; his loyal dogs Tego and Fergie; and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Adrian Overton and his grandson, Oliver Anthon.
Funeral services will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary in Syracuse, 1585 West 300 South, on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 12:00 pm with a brief viewing before starting at 10:30 am.
