Vauna Gunn Burnham

Our loving mother, Vauna Gunn (Rose) Burnham, in the early hours of May 19, 2024, passed away peacefully in her sleep. Vauna was born on January 20, 1934, to Clifford Gunn and Loraine White Gunn. She grew up in Salt Lake City surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins in a loving and nurturing family. She married Douglas Rose in the summer of 1950 and had five wonderful children from that marriage. After a divorce, in 1975 she married Harry Earl and enjoyed his love and the love of his 4 children. Harry passed away tragically in 1990. In 1992 she married George Burnham and welcomed George and his 4 children into her circle of love. George passed away in 2011.

Vauna is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marilyn Jacob, her daughter Marlene Yates, and a granddaughter Michelle Rose. She is survived by her remaining children Brent Rose (Dianne), Mark Rose (Debby), Marsha Morgan (Al), Kevin Yates (Marlene) and Vaughn Rose (Denise), and by her older brother Jack Gunn. Vauna is blessed with 18 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and 8 stepchildren, Harry’s children, Richard, Nancy, Jim, and Lisa, and George’s children, Doug, Holly, David, and Dan.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for the wonderful, caring administrators and staff at Whisper Cove Assisted Living Center in Kaysville for taking such good care of our mother. Funeral services will be held on May 22, 2024 at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah, 84025, commencing at 2:00 p.m. A viewing for Vauna’s family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, immediately prior to the funeral. Interment will follow the funeral service at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
