Dr. Vee Boyd Hair 1920 – 2006
Our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and dentist passed away March 28, 2006.
Boyd was born September 28, 1920 in Vernal, Utah to John and Martha Winward Hair. He attended Brigham Young University, Oregon Institute of Technology, and the University of Oregon School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry for 49 years. Boyd also served active duty in World War 2, and the Korean War.
Boyd was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to the Northwestern States. Some of his numerous church callings included Stake Missionary, Bishopric Counselor, Young Men?s President, and Executive Secretary.
Being a husband, father and grandfather were his special talents. His gift to us was his unfailing cheerfulness. We loved him dearly. His example of enduring to the end is a legacy for his family to emulate.
We wish to thank the numerous medical professionals who cared for him with patience and generosity during the final years of his life.
He is survived by children: Tami Kim Karpowitz, Brad Dawn Hair, Cory Christine Hair, Scott Kim Hair, Shellie Neil Nelson, Tom Liddell; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters Leatha Christensen and Nina Karrasch. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine Hair; daughter, Valorie Liddell; and grand-daughter, Allison Liddell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2006, 1:00 p.m. in the Cottonwood 13th Ward LDS Chapel, 1830 East 6400 South. Friends and family may call Friday, April 7, 2006 from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East and Saturday at the church, one hour prior to services.
