Vera Ricks

Vera Metra Koshtreff Ricks passed away at Lifecare Center in Bountiful, Utah on June 20, 2011. She was born July 26, 1926 in Portland, Oregon to Andrew Koshtreff and Ruby Belle Smith. Her husband of 65 years Sanford Cardon Ricks, passed away October 25, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Grenier (Ray), son, Dan Ricks (Sandy); three grandchildren, David Grenier, Dean Grenier (Anne) and Amanda Grenier Cole (Mike); three great-grandchildren, Connor Duke, Emilee Duke and Jesse Ray Cole. She was an only child. She was raised and married in Los Angeles, California, raising her family there and then moved back to Oregon in 1971 where she loved to grow vegetables and make lots of blackberry jam. In 1989 they moved to Utah and have lived here ever since. Thank you to the hospice staff at Applegate Home Healthcare for the wonderful help they provided. There will be no services at her request.
