Vernal A. Brown

Our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and “Unc”, Vernal A. Brown unexpectedly slipped from this mortal existence on October 29, 2015. Born to Fred Othello and Lera A. Brown on January 8, 1938 in Afton, Wyoming.

Vern enjoyed life and family. He was a living example of service, hard work, outdoor living, wisdom, thoughtfulness and kindness to all who came in contact with him. He would truly go out of his way and do anything to help others. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served in several callings including Scouts, the Bishopric, teaching and service assignments. He was currently serving a Welfare mission.  He worked for Weber Basin Job Corps where he worked hard and was loved and admired by many.

Vern is survived by his wife Susan, daughters Trudy, Donnette(Craig), Kim(Jeff), Krista(James), Chelsey, son Lael, brothers Wynn(Joyce), Farrell(Judy). He has 15 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister LoEne and her husband Clyde.  Vern will be greatly missed by all who knew him.   WE LOVE YOU!!!

A viewing will be held in his honor on Monday, Nov. 2 from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 11:00 with a viewing 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the West Bountiful 5th Ward, 840 N. 800 W., West Bountiful, Utah.
