Vernon Brigham Christiansen, passed away peacefully in Ferron, Utah on June 2, 2015 at the age of 94. He was born to John Julius and Mary K. Christiansen on February 5, 1921, the 5th of seven children, in Emery Utah. He left home at 18 to attend Weber College in Ogden, Utah and later, to Bremerton, WA. to take a position in the Naval Shipyard. In 1942, he met Beverly Kilpatrick. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 10, 1943. During WWII he served in the Navy. He was a career Civil Servant. He loved skiing, vacations and traveling the country and world with his sweetheart.
As a lifelong member of the LDS Church, he served an LDS mission with Beverly in Ohio in 1979-1980. He took great joy in his varied church service. Vernon loved the outdoors and was quick to hitch up a trailer, saddle a horse or ride off on an ATV in search of adventure.
He is preceded in death by his sweetheart Beverly and his youngest daughter Lisa. Brothers and Sisters, Irma Box, Delma Leslie, Rellus, Richard and Mary Euphemia Case. He is survived by four of his children, Carolyn Buehner, Jon (Linda), Joel, Ann (Ed) Smith, his brother Merlin Christiansen, sister in law Helen Christiansen, three generations of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cherished friends and associates.

Funeral services at the North Canyon 2nd Ward chapel, 3350 S. 100 E. Bountiful, Utah on Wednesday, June 10th at noon. Viewing at Russon Brothers, 295 N Main Bountiful, Utah on Tuesday, June 9th, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and at the North Canyon chapel from 10:45-11:45 prior to the funeral.
