Vicki Losser Simonson
1958-2016
Vicki was born in Provo, Utah on 21 July 1958 to Ned & Joanne Losser. Vicki was grateful for her brother Ken (Marlena) Losser who taught her to share. Vicki cherished the moments she could be an aunt to Ken’s children; Rusty (Sheri) Losser, Robbie (Dana) Losser, Chad Losser, Jerremy (Ashley) Smith and April Smith. After attending Benjamin and Spanish Fork schools she attended what is now UVU where she served as a student body officer. She was hired by IRECO Chemicals currently Dyno in Salt Lake City. While working full time she attended Westminster University and was able to get her Bachelors. Vicki loved to work and learn new things. She worked hard and traveled wherever she was asked; becoming a Delta Million Mile member. Several years ago, she was hired by LANDesk Software, an IT and Asset Management Company, in South Jordan. She admired the dedication and hard work of her staff and team members. She said working LANDesk was the best job she ever had. She loved driving her little red Miata to work each day. Vicki played baseball with passion and golf with enthusiasm. While Vicki worked hard and enjoyed participating in life, she was able to garner some of the best friends a person can have. These friends were with her during her illness and the family appreciates their care and kindness. Vicki married Steve Simonson in June 1989 overlooking Lake Tahoe at Heavenly Valley. Vicki and Steve achieved their greatest accomplishments with the births of Megan (Zac) Cavanaugh and Andrew Simonson. There was nothing she loved more than these two wonderful children. She sacrificed for them and worked hard to help them in any way possible to succeed in this life. They made her laugh, made her proud, and made her cry to not be with them longer. She is loved, she was fun, she was successful, she will be missed, and she will be mom.
We thank the Utah Cancer Specialists and the wonderful and caring nurses and administrators who helped us through the pancreatic cancer and Hospice care. Anyone sharing at this time should give generously to cure cancer rather than share flowers.
