Vicki Lynn Nickens Hardy

A Funeral Service for Vicki Lynn Nickens Hardy, 64 of Vacaville, will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 2633 South 50 West Bountiful, Utah. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Bountiful, Utah next to her infant daughter.
Vicki passed away on the evening of February 9, 2015 after a long illness with her family at her side. She was born in Freeport, Texas on April 11, 1950 to Thomas and Dolores Nickens.  She graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State College.  She married Joel Allen Hardy in 1974 and the couple had four children together, including one who died in infancy.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission for the Church in Spain. She enjoyed reading books, teaching primary at church, volunteering at her children's schools, and watching and coaching her kids in soccer. Her family and friends will remember her as an intelligent, thoughtful, and kind person. Vicki was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who doted on her grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Joel; sons, Tom Hardy (Amy) and Lucas Hardy (Cassi); daughter, Jonica Maldonado-Hardy (Fernando); grandchildren, Zachary, Kyler, Dawson, Emma, Kason, Callie, Landon, Victoriana, Laurena, Joel, Priscilla, Esmeralda and another one on the way; parents, Thomas and Dolores Nickens; siblings, Terry, Judy, Paula and Debbie; She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janna.
