Victor D. Schluter

June 13, 1955 — November 11, 2021

Victor D. Schluter (Vic) was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 13, 1955. He lost his courageous battle with Covid 19 on November 11, 2021. It’s so difficult to describe Vic to anyone, you just had to know him. He was generous with everything especially his time and he was a friend to everyone he met. Vic was passionate about so many things in life, other than his family, some of his passions were his family pets, watching wildlife, classic rock and roll music, Coca Cola, the Raiders and Shrek. Yes Shrek! He must have watched it a hundred times. One of Vic’s most recent hobbies was cooking. He loved trying new recipes and sharing them with everyone. He would frequently say, I bet the boys are going to love this! The boys were his coworkers at RSD.
Vic started working at Refrigeration Supplies Distributors in 1978 in Arizona. He was then transferred to Sacramento where he met his wife of 38 years, Debbie. He and Debbie were married in 1983 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He inherited an instant family with Debbie’s 2 children Shannon & Allan. Like everything Vic did, he embraced parenthood one hundred and ten percent. Becoming a grandfather was one of the highlights of his life. Boy did he love his grandchildren! They all knew if they needed anything Grandpa would always be there for them. In fact, if you were Vic’s family or friend you knew he would always be there when you needed him.
Vic has left an unmeasurable void in the life of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents R.J and Janet Schluter, his brother Mark Schluter, and his grandson Shea Naegle. He is survived by his wife Debbie Schluter, daughter Shannon Naegle (Shaun), son Allan Amarel (Alese), grandchildren Dominick Amarel, Lindsay Amarel Butt (Kade), Kelsie Naegle and Austin Amarel. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Rita Schluter and many nieces, nephews and so many special cousins.
