Viola Duncan

July 29, 1923 — January 30, 2014

Born at Clear Creek, Carbon County, Utah July 29, 1923, to George Calvin Hanna and Edna Shepherd. She married Jacob Daniel Booher Sept 1941 at Payette, Idaho and was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept 25, 1971. Children: Kenneth Wayne (Marjorie Haight), Daniel Lee (Sharon Huff), Judith Lynn (David Wood) and John Calvin (April Ferrin).
She came from a large family of 9 children: Mildred, Milburn, Calvin, Harold, Laura, Kenneth, Celia, and Nora. She has 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Jacob Daniel Booher and Therice Duncan; 1 son Daniel, 2 grandchildren, Eion Booher and Angel Sexton.
She is survived by 1 sister Nora Thorbeck, and 2 Sister in laws Barbara Booher and Irene Hanna.
She was dedicated to her family and friends and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. In her early married life she never had much but always had a house full of friends and relatives. She loved picnics, playing games and visiting. She always had a cake or pie in the oven and the door was always open. We will miss her but know we were all blessed to have had her for so long.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where a viewing will be held from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. prior to services.
