One of the kindest and most loving spirits, Viola Kaye Willmore MacSparran Nelson, returned home to her Father in Heaven on January 24, 2022.
Kaye was born in Logan, Utah in January, 1936 to Paul Willmore and Viola Julia Quinn Willmore. Kaye attended Northwestern High School in Maryland and Utah State University in Logan, Ut. She met the love of her life, Richard Thomas MacSparran (Dick), while in high school, and they married in February, 1956, for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple. They were blessed with two sons, Sanford (Sandy) Erickson MacSparran and Ronald (Ron) Paul MacSparran.
After Dick’s death in May, 1971, Kaye moved with her two boys to Utah to be closer to family. While there, she remarried into another loving and wonderful family. Kaye married Byron Everette Nelson in June, 1976 in the Provo Temple.
Family members welcoming her on the other side are her husbands, Dick MacSparran and Bryon Nelson, her son Ron MacSparran, her grandson, Forrest MacSparran, her parents Paul and Viola Willmore, her sister Sylvia Willmore Larson and two sweet puppies Hero and Cambri.
Kaye served diligently all her life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an avid life-long missionary to all in her family as she bore her testimony throughout her life, in letters, and verbally. She served two missions; one in Jackson Mississippi with Byron and again in Las Vegas, NV with her cousin Sandra Longhurst Perry Tippets.
Kaye loved family more than anything! Her wonderful posterity include 11 children; 48 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. If you needed her or just wanted her company, she was there. Kaye always showed up.
Thanks to all the staff at Maple Springs Assisted Living Facility for all their help and kindness during Kaye’s time there.
