Violet Hope Baughman, precious baby daughter of Jay and Kristin Baughman, was born on February 3, 2021 at University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Violet was born with a condition known as Trisomy 18 that placed several limits on her small body. Despite this, Violet overcame many physical complications and was able to come home after 16 days in the NICU. Miracles accompanied her as she fought to stay here.
At home, Violet spent her days surrounded by family and loved ones. Violet especially loved her brothers and sisters Hayden, Jonah, Sophie, and Savannah, who showered her with love and attention. She would calm down whenever her siblings were around or holding her. She also loved music; she adored having lullabies sung to her and listening to the piano being played. She loved being held and spent almost every minute being snuggled by someone.
Violet passed peacefully on March 25, 2021 in her mother’s loving arms and with her daddy holding her hand. We treasured every minute of the 50 days we were able to have with our sweet Violet. In her short time on earth, Violet touched many lives, both near and far. She brought about love and faith in everyone who knew her. We are so grateful for forever families and look forward to a sweet reunion with our Violet.
