Virginia Rose Beynon 1937-2011
Virginia Rose Beynon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 surrounded by family who love her dearly. Virginia was born in Canal Zone, Panama on October 7, 1937 the daughter of Vera Cynthia Marks and Llyle Revere Lowry. She grew up in Castledale, Utah, where she liked to ride bikes and run. She attended Emery High School with many dear, lifetime friends. After graduation, Virginia moved to Salt Lake to work where she met Fred Beynon. With their marriage in 1960, she gained four sons and two daughters. Although her relationship with these children varied with their individual needs and circumstances, she loved and accepted them without judgment or criticism. They are each infinitely dear to her. Virginia had a son, Chris, born in 1961, and a daughter, Mardie, born in 1962. Her children were her life and she focused her gentleness and energy on them. When Chris married Cynthia, and Mardie married Rod, Virginia welcomed them as her own. She adored Mardies children, Michael and Bobbi, and she couldnt go very many days without seeing them or talking to them. She also loved Chris children: Michelle (Kevin) Carlson (and great grandson Kyle), Matthew (Lindsay) Beynon, Laura, Natalie, Sarah, and Nathaniel Beynon. As a grandmother, Virginia was spectacular. She spoiled each child when they were little, took them to the movies and shopping, and became their dear friends as they became teenagers – texting them and sending them messages on Facebook. Virginia loved the Savior and exemplified his teachings to be meek and charitable. She was a peacemaker and had a gift for making others feel comfortable and valued. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her daughter, Mardie, and her brothers Mervin and George Alan. She is survived by a large posterity (over 25 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren) who love her dearly and hope to follow her Christ-like example. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Orchard 1st Ward, 3707 South 800 West, Bountiful.
