Virginia Caroline Losee was born January 5, 1942, in Huntington Park, California, to Leland L. Losee and Evelyn C. Horspool Losee. She passed away December 9, 2023, at age 81 from heart failure.
She spent her younger years in several places in Southern California where she graduated from Alhambra High School and Mount San Antonio Jr. College. She worked for an insurance company and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She received her golden gleaner award. Virginia served a mission for her church in New Zealand and gained a great love for the people.
In 1978 she moved with her great aunt and mother to Bountiful, Utah. She was able to transfer to an office of the same company she had worked for in California. She continued to be an active member of her church and served in many organizations. She attended many singles activities and made many friends.
Virginia was an avid BYU sports fan. Game days would find her dressed in her BYU shirt wearing her BYU socks, earrings, and ring. She would be glued to the TV or radio. She was also a huge collector of frogs. Everywhere you would look in her apartment there were green frogs. She was lovingly known as the frog lady.
Virginia always wanted to be active and participated in all the activities at her assisted living facility, Beaumont. She had many health complications which never kept her from her activities. She would always volunteer to help wherever help was needed. She was always wearing a smile and made many friends throughout her life.
Virginia was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Wanda Losee, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 11 great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nephews and 2 great-great nieces. She will be missed by many.
There will be a viewing for the public from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. She will be interred in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
