Gina Barlow Stoler passed away at her home in Bountiful, Utah, on January 3, 2013. She enjoyed all things beautiful, especially her yard, which she kept in immaculate condition right up to the time of her death. Planting flowers in every inch of her yard for others to see and enjoy brought her great satisfaction.
She lived in Bountiful most of her life, attending Stoker Elementary, South Davis Jr. High (now known as Bountiful Jr. High), and Davis High School where she was in Pro Schola and active in debate. While at Davis High School, Gina was the 1945 winner of the Martha E. Barnes Oratorical contest. In 1950, she was Miss Bountiful.
Gina attended Brigham Young University where she was affiliated with the OS Trovata Social Unit. She worked at KLUB Radio Station as Traffic and Office Manager for 27 years and also for the American Heart Association, Utah Affiliate for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Harlan Stoler, They were married on October 19, 1979 and enjoyed over 26 happy years together.
Gina was one of nine children, six of whom have preceded her in death her sisters: Norma Orchard, June Burton, and Marjorie Bringhurst as well as her brothers: Dale Barlow, Rex Barlow, and Cal Barlow. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John Clyde and Joukje Zysling Barlow.
She is survived by J. Paul Barlow (Carla) and Gary D. Barlow (Dorothy) and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom thought of her as one of their favorite aunts.
A funeral in her honor will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, on Saturday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held earlier that morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
