Funeral services for Margaret Watson, 90, will be held Saturday 10 January 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 981 West Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, South Carolina. The family will receive friends on Friday 9 January 2009 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Brown Pennington Atkins Funeral Home, 306 West Home Avenue, Hartsville, South Carolina. Burial will follow at the LDS Cemetery in Society Hill, SC. A service was held in Farmington, Utah 3 January 2009 in order to accommodate many of her grandchildren who live in that area. Mrs. Watson died Wednesday 31 December 2008 in Ogden, Utah. She was born 14 March 1918 in Patrick, Chesterfield County, SC. She was the eldest child-of the late John Hampton and Roxie Mae Wilkes Wallace. She married Callis Alma Watson 12 January 1934. She was a mother and a homemaker and lived her life in Hartsville, S.C., Alexandria, V A., and Farmington, UT. After her husband retired from Sonoco Products Company they served two missions in Washington, DC and one in Atlanta, GA for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving Mrs. Watson are her children and their spouses: Charles Wallace and Diane Lee Watson of Eden, UT; John Grant and Ramona Luker Watson of Smithfield, UT; Gary L. and Pamela Watson Lichty of Farmington, UT; David Wayne and Ann Shand Watson of Lehi, UT; Mark Thomas and Deborah Heard Watson of Garden City, UT; two brothers, George A. Wallace of Franklin, TN; Frank M. and Naomi Wilkes Wallace of Lake Mary, FL; 45 grandchildren; 104 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Callis Alma Watson, her son, Callis Archie Watson and her daughter, Linda Margaret Watson Lewis. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Society Hill LDS Cemetery Association. Post Office Box 497, Society Hill, South Carolina 29593.
