W. DON RACKHAM 3/19/1919 to 9/6/2004 W. DON RACKHAM finished his work here on September 6, 2004. He was born on the dry farms of southeastern Idaho in Teton City, on March 19, 1919, to Claudius Victor Rackham and Janetta Stewart Rackham canonized a Saint by those who knew her from whom he learned about work, family, and service to God and fellowmen. He is survived by his wife Hazel Anna Hansen Rackham; his sister Ruby Norman Ross of Newdale; his three children, Laurin Margaret Ryan Manti, Larrie Keith Andrews Salt Lake City, Janet, Long Branch, New Jersey. He was preceded by his three brothers; Ray, Jesse, and Robert.

Don and Hazel have twelve grandchildren 39 great grandchildren with much more posterity in the planning stages. After serving in the Army for thirteen years, he returned to college and obtained a degree in Pharmacy after which he worked many years for a kind and generous friend, E. Farnes Berntsen, in his Pharmacy in the Salt Lake Clinic. Don ended his professional life serving at the State Hospital in Provo. He seemed happiest in his relations with his family and in his many kind services to friends and neighbors. His priceless legacy of hard work, cheerful service, and love of his fellowman will be forever cherished. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at the S. L. Pioneer Stake 26th Ward, 500 South Emery 1170 West, Salt Lake City at 12:00 p.m. Friends may call prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Teton Newdale Cemetery, Teton City, Idaho on Friday.
