Wallace Lewis Godfrey, 88, passed peacefully in his Bountiful home on March 22nd, 2024 with his family by his side.
Wally was born January 20, 1936 in Ogden, Utah to Wonda and Hattie Godfrey. Being the sixth of eight children, his upbringing in Harrisville, Utah was full of both diligent hard work and merriment adventure.
Wally attended Weber High School and graduated in 1954. With a deep love for freedom and his country, he served in the United States Military from 1955-1957. Wally married his eternal sweetheart, Ann Holliday, on June 22, 1957.
Wally and Ann raised their five children, Patty (Scott), Kent, Dennis, Sandra (Curtis), and Tina (Roger) in their beautiful Bountiful home.
As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Wally served in many important callings. He had strong faith in Jesus Christ and exemplified Christ-like service to all to knew him. The love, service and grace he showed throughout his life will live on forever in the hearts of his children and posterity. Wally is survived by his sister, Eleanor, children, 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah.
