Waltraud Wolfenstaetter

Waltraud G. Wolfenstaetter 85, was born on June 4, 1938 to Jakob Wolfenstaetter and Berta Benner in Kaiserslautern, Germany. She was an only child. She passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023 while residing at Fairfield Assisted Living in Layton, Utah.

Waltraud and her parents were converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while still living in Germany. She immigrated to the United States with her parents when she was  in her early twenties. She was a devoted member of the church, serving in many church callings.

She worked for the church in the Genealogy Department for many years.  

Waltraud was a very loving, kind and giving person.   She was always happy to give and gave to many charities and those in need.   She took great pride in having a beautiful home and loved working in her flower gardens.

Waltraud was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at Russon Mortuary, 1585 West 300 South, Syracuse, Utah on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. A viewing will take place from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Graveside Service will be held at the West Jordan City, Utah Cemetery at 3 PM.
