Our sweet mother, grandmother and friend, Wanda Miller, 88, passed away on the morning of July 25, 2017 of causes due to age. She was born July 2nd, 1929 in Rexberg, Idaho, to Gordon and Evelyn Hillam. Wanda was raised in Sugar City, Idaho and was the oldest of five siblings Donna Daniels, Harold Hillam, Arnold Hillam and Kaylynn Beck.
She married Afton Garn Miller on December 27, 1951 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they had four children, Gwen (Paul) Lowery, Judy (Ken) Hull, Brent (Kathy) Miller and Marylou Miller. She was preceded in death by her brother Harold, husband Garn and daughter Marylou. They then adopted and raised Marylou's two children, Cody (Jennifer) Miller and Kira (Ethan) Garrido. She has 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Wanda spent countless summers trolling the waters of Yellowstone Lake and photographing practically every inch of the park. Her son’s and grandson’s will always cherish her love of woodworking as she assisted them with their Pinewood Derby cars and taught the principle of patience of having to hand sand their cars. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Wanda had a vast love of Genealogy. She assisted family and friends alike trace their family trees. Wanda loved Scouting as she held many patrol leader callings. However, most people will remember Honda Wanda as one of the best Stake Camp Directors. May the cutthroat trout of Yellowstone Lake rest more peacefully now.
