Warren, 83, passed away on 5 July 2017 at the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veteran's Home. Warren was born 15 November 1933 in Burley, Idaho. He grew up a farm boy in Southern Idaho. He married his childhood sweetheart, Rose, 5 March 1955. Warren served in the Air Force for 23 years. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was the recipient of several medals including the bronze star. He also served in Spain, Germany and many stateside assignments with his family. Upon retiring in 1974, he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as an electrician for 20 years. Warren enjoyed hiking, mountain climbing, biking, boating, fishing, motorcycling, the Oregon Coast, wintering and golfing at Wagon West RV Park in Arizona, and spending time with family, friends and his dog Boomer.
Warren is survived by his three daughters Denine (Steve) Smith, Stansbury Park; Leslie Bird, Centerville; Peri (Aaron) Griffin, Syracuse; 10 grandchildren, 16 8/9 great-grandchildren, his brother Dan and his sister Leane. Warren was preceded in death by his wife Rose, parents Arlo and Laura Moyes, brothers Ronald and Dennis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 8 July 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, UT, where a viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Centerville City Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
