FARMINGTON – Wayne Jensen Perry finished his earthly mission on July 30, 2012, at the age of 83. He passed from this life in his Farmington home surrounded by family. He was born in Lovell Wyoming on April 12, 1929 to Foster Orin and Clyta Merle Jensen Perry. He spent most of his life in Utah. He graduated from Davis High School and married Reta Lee Riley on June 4, 1960. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 19, 1963. He worked as a diesel mechanic by trade and was a beekeeper throughout his life. Wayne was a hard worker and although he retired as a diesel mechanic at the age of 61, he continued to work with the bees until the age of 82. He served as President of the Utah Beekeepers Association in 2003-2004 and received the Hive Tool Award for his contribution to the Utah bee industry in 2006. Wayne was a true American cowboy who loved his wife and children more than his horse. He loved the outdoors and created a lot of fond memories with his family camping, boating and fishing. The campfire and grandchildren would always bring out his tall tales. Wayne was an amazing example to his family up to the very end. He will be deeply missed, but we know he is scouting out a great camping spot for our next Perry reunion and spinning some tall tales with his brothers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Carma, Keith, Verl, Horace and two grandsons.
He is survived by his wife Reta, four sons, Brent (Linda), Brian (Tami), Blaine (Angel), Brady, one daughter, Collette Scow (Dale), 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
