Bountiful – Wayne Stratford Murdock, age 83, passed away on August 29, 2016. Wayne was born May 6, 1933 in Washington DC. Wayne was the second of five sons born to Orrice L. and Glorus R. Murdock, and was an identical twin to Orrice. He graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in 1952. He received his bachelor and master degrees from Utah State University, with additional graduate studies at the University of Washington. He worked in various capacities in health care. He served 32 months in the U.S. Army in Southern Germany during the Korean War, and served two years as an LDS missionary in Australia. In 1959 he married Marcia Crawford in the Logan LDS Temple, and was later blessed with three sons, Hal (Stacey), Brian (Lisa), and Derek (Gina). Wayne is survived by his wife Marcia and three sons, 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three brothers, David, Stratford, and Lowell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother Orrice. Wayne was known for his love and service to others. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Bountiful 2nd Ward chapel (650 South 200 East, Bountiful, UT). A viewing will be held 6-8 pm on Thursday, September 1st at Russon Brothers Mortuary (295 North Main Street, Bountiful, UT), and 9:30 – 10:30 am on Friday, September 2 at the Bountiful 2nd Ward Chapel.
