WG Bill Kriegbaum 1938-2010

Bountiful: WG Kriegbaum passed away at home in Bountiful, on Friday, December 10, 2010. After a long struggle with Parkinsons Disease, and complications that came from the disease, Bill is finally out of pain. He was born in Benton, Arkansas May 6, 1938 to William George and Gladys (Lee) Kriegbaum. He was married Elke Buenning November 25, 1960. Bill and Elke knew each other 3 months before they married. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Bill and Elke moved to Bountiful, Utah where they made a home and raised their family. Bill was always busy working outside creating new landscaping features, tinkering in the garage, gardening, raising birds, and spending time with his family.

Bill had a passion for his old cars and especially Jeep trucks. He loved going to car shows with his Jeep truck, Studebaker, Edsel and would put a sign up, Get In. Honk The Horn. He wanted others to share the fun of the vehicles with him. He was a very compassionate man.

Retired from Varian Medical Systems, Bill was respected in his professional life. After his retirement Bill and Elke enjoyed traveling, especially to Germany.

Survived by: Elke Kriegbaum, Daughters: Kathy Kriegbaum (Robert Cole), Karen Kriegbaum, Kay Kriegbaum, Grandchildren: RB Hayes, Tiffany Hayes and one great grandchild, Savannah. Sisters: Hazel (Pete) Russ, Anna Mae Rhodes, Bobby (Jo) Kriegbaum

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm, at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. where friends may call on Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45 pm prior to services. Interment in Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com.
