Wil was born in Farmington, UT and raised in the loving home of Bertha and G.W. McMelroy.

 

Survived by his wife Janet Ward; daughter Wendy W. Moody; grandchildren Michael (Lauren) Moody, Mark Moody, Jennifer (Ryan) Nielsen; great-grandchildren Jordan, Hadley, and Maxwell; his brother, Ted Ward; and his dog Izzy.

 

Wil graduated from the University of Utah and was a member of SAE fraternity.  He proudly served in the military during the Korean War.  He was Merchandising Director for Girls Scouts of the USA and also represented several other clothing lines.

 

Of all his accomplishments he considered being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather his greatest.  Whether it was his career or maintaining his home and yard, Wil worked tirelessly and enjoyed it.

 

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary, 255 South 200 East.  Friends may call on Tuesday, July 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Burial will follow in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, Online guestbook available at www.russonmortuary.com
