William J. Aird age 96, born in Salt Lake City, Utah, July 2, 1912 to William Aird and Eva Wickens Aird. He married Eva Burningham July 9, 1937 and was sealed to her in August of 1965. He is survived by William B. Aird and wife Marcia, Barbara Aird LeFevre husband Ross, deceased, Mark B. Aird and wife Deborah, Richard A. Manfull and wife Elaine, Jesse D. Manfull and wife Barbara, 15 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Eva, brother Jack, son in law, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He was a West High School athlete then worked for the Union Pacific Railroad about 45 years. He kept his sense of humor until just days before passing. He was the neighborhood handy man who could repair, build, weld, and machine most anything. He could usually be found in his shop. He had many great experiences hunting and fishing. We thank Avalon’s North Canyon Care Center and Vista Care Hospice. He felt secure and was very happy to have someone there to help him &qoute;every 5 minutes&qoute;. We also thank Merlin and Marva Fenn for being exceptional friends and neighbors. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S. 200 W. Friends and Family may call Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main.
