William Brown

Biography

William Dale Brown passed away peacefully on September 4, 2014 at his home in Bountiful, Utah. He was born January 24, 1928 in Bountiful, Utah. William “Bill” was the third son of William Andrews Brown Jr. and Lucy Briggs. Bill graduated from Davis High School and then enlisted in the Army, serving at the end of WWII in the 34th Infantry as a radio operator. He also served in the Civil Air Patrol. Bill married Beatrice Luana Wood in December 1949 and they had one daughter, Karla Brown, divorced. He then served an LDS Mission to the Northwestern States where he met his eternal companion, Betty Lorraine Winter. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple on January 18, 1957. Together they raised six children and made their homes in Bountiful and Mesa, Arizona.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, his parents, and four siblings. He is survived by a sister, Jean Bowen, and his children, Karla Cook (Bruce), Karen Brown, Kim D. Brown (Barbara), Keith V. Brown (Debbie), Kathryn Brown, Kaelyn Eckman (Cody), and 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on September 12 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 640 S. 750 E., Bountiful. Interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery. Friends and family may visit Thursday, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah.

Friends and family may visit Thursday, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah.
