William Johnson

September 13, 1919 — June 6, 2016

My name is William Johnson. I was born September 13, 1919. I was married to Ruth Sorenson for 68 years. We were married just 13 days after the attack on Pearl Harbor. We had a beautiful daughter, her name is Lana.
I served for two years in the South Pacific in the Signal Corps / Amphibious Engineers (including six amphibious landings) with the US Army. I then worked at the D&RG Railroad for 35 years as a telegraph operator and train dispatcher. I spent my retirement keeping busy with Church work, fishing, golfing and specially enjoying time with my daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to my granddaughter Tiffany Smith for her love and care during my final year.
I am survived by my daughter Lana Heilman (Roger), granddaughters Teri Webb (Dave), Tiffany Smith (Steve), Danielle Myers (Matt) and Tearie Faust (Chuck), great-grandchildren Megan and Courtney Webb, Micheal Lovell, Shane Smith, Catie and Charlie Faust, and Morgan Myers.
