Willora Kerr Herzog, 86, peacefully passed from this life to join her husband and family members September 1, 2007. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was the daughter of Frank and Anna Lindstrom Kerr, born March 1, 1921, in Salt lake City, Utah, second oldest of seven children. Loosing her father at a young age, Willora took upon herself the care of her mother and siblings.

She Graduated from South High School. She was sealed to her eternal companion, John Raymond Herzog, June 30, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four children in Magna. Later moving to West Valley City, and then to Fruit Heights with her daughter.

Willora learned to sew at a young age. Her specialty was alteration. Many people, especially her family, benefited from her talent. She made wedding dresses, fur coats, costumes, and quilts. You name it, she sewed it. She had a sewing business in her home. She also enjoyed working in her beautiful flower gardens.

She loved spending time with her family, they were her first priority. She was always serving her family and friends in such a loving way. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has served in many positions. Primary and Relief Society presidencies, Stake Relief Society Secretary, always a Visiting Teacher. Her favorite being a primary teacher because she loves children.

Preceded in death by her husband 5-2-1983, daughter Shellie 8-30-07 just two days before her, great-grandson, sister Goldie, and brother Carl. She is survived by her children: Carol Don Clift, Max Merrillyn Herzog, Becky Dale Ford, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren who call her GG. Siblings: Wilma Dunn, Roean Emms, Frank Kerr, Dixey Peterson, Brother-in-law Clarence Ione Herzog, and many nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to express their deepest appreciation and gratitude to all who have taken such good care of her the past 3 years. Especially hospice nurses Trudy and Karen.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 12 noon in the Fruit Heights 8th Ward, 170 North Mountain Road, Fruit Heights. Friends may call from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment Pleasant Green Cemetery, Magna, Utah. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com
