Wilma Leinani Niau Haleakala Mack was born on the island of Kauai, Hawaii on August 18, 1945 to Louis and Lei Niau Haleakala. She married Thomas Lee Mack on April 27, 1968. They lived the first thirtyfour years of their marriage on Oahu, Hawaii. Wilma was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent many years working with the youth of the church as a seminary teacher, and in the Primary and Young Women organizations. She loved serving others and has touched many throughout her life. She retired as a church employee, working as a secretary to the FM group in Honolulu. Wilma also served a full-time mission with Lee for the LDS church in Boston, Massachusetts and then a service mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lee and Wilma moved to Utah in 2002. She passed away on October 24, 2013 at her home in Bountiful, Utah. Wilma is now reunited with her husband Lee who passed away in 2006.
Wilma is survived by her five children: Kalani (Sarah), Kimo (Tami), David (Angela), Mahanalei Bradley (Brandon), and Mahealani Eddy (Charles); 12 grandchildren; and 6 siblings: Steven Niau (Patti), Momi Livingston, Pearl Kelii (Lionel), David Niau, Gail Masuda (Bruce), and Michael Niau(Myra).
Viewing will be at 9:30am on November 1, 2013 at the LDS North Canyon 5th Ward Chapel, 2501 South Davis Blvd. Bountiful, Utah. Services will follow at 11:00am. Interment will be held at 2:30pm at the Smithfield City Cemetery. Online guestbook at russonmortuary.com.
