Wilma Wilde

April 13, 1924 — July 29, 2016

Valiant servant of Christ, Wilma Clarice Wilde, born April 13, 1924 in Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away July 29, 2016. Wilma was the daughter of Jesse Olsen and Jennie Obray. She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers and three husbands, LeRoy Christensen, William Stitt and Albert Wilde. Bruce and Craig Christensen and Kevin Stitt are her children. Wilma had 11 grand children, 19 great grand children, five great great grandchildren.

She was raised in Southern Idaho, graduating from Rupert High School. She moved to Utah after graduation to help care for her mother. She met her first husband, LeRoy, and married shortly before he joined the Marines and served his tour of duty in the South Pacific. They had two sons, Bruce and Craig. After LeRoy’s passing in 1957, Wilma continued to work at Clearfield State Bank as a cashier.

She met William Stitt in 1958 and they married July 4, 1959. They were blessed with another son, Kevin. One of their great joy’s was to attend Kevin’s ballgames. William died October 2, 1969, while coaching his ward’s basketball team.

She met and married Albert Wilde fourteen years later, on June 1, 1974. They moved to Bountiful where they bought a new home at 204 East 1950 South where they started their new life together. Bert died Jan. 29, 1999. Wilma continued to live in her Bountiful home until her passing.

She loved to visit with her friends and those who were convalescing. She also loved to go to plays and play games with her family and friends.

In addition to her many callings in various ward and stake music positions, Wilma also served as Ward Relief Society President and a Temple worker in the Salt Lake and Bountiful Temples.

Viewing will be Friday, August 5, 2016, at Bountiful Russon Brothers Mortuary. 

Funeral will be at Bountiful 21st Ward (115 East Wicker Lane) 2000 So. Orchard Dr., 11 AM August 6.
