Wilson Wahlstrom

March 27, 1935 — October 6, 2011

Wilson Lehi Wahlstrom, age 76, passed away October 6, 2011 surrounded by his family at his home in Centerville, Utah. He was the third son born to Benjamin Stanley and Lydia Mary Earley Wahlstrom in Laketown, Utah on March 27, 1935. He graduated from North Rich High School in 1953 and attended Utah State University. His marriage of 56 years to Mona Esterholdt began October 14, 1955. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, October 14, 1964. To this union was born 5 daughters and 1 son. His life was spent in Laketown, Utah until five years ago when they moved to Centerville, Utah. He loved and found great pleasure in his farming. He was employed with Parnell Packing Company and Rich County Road and Sanitation Department for many years. Wilson was a quiet, gentle, patient, loving husband, father and grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed. He had his own special sense of wit and humor which he carried to his final moments of his life. He was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His parents and brothers, Willard and Oliver Lee preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving sweetheart and companion; his daughters, Raegene (Ted) Weston of Layton, Utah, Betty Ann (Kevin) Johnson of Hyde Park, Utah, Eleanor (Jerry) DeVore of Phoenix, Arizona, Karen (Scott) Goodfellow, Woods Cross, Utah and Helen (DeLoy) Wolfley of Tucson, Arizona; son, Wilson Jared (Dana) Wahlstrom of Bountiful, Utah; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother Allan (Lorna) Wahlstrom; brother-in-law, Doyle (Lois) Esterholdt, and sister-in-law June (Terry) Kimball.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Centerville 1st Ward Chapel, 160 South 300 East. A visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Monday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Graveside service will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the Laketown Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com. In lieu of flowers please donate to CNS Hospice or Bountiful Food Bank
