Winifred Lucy Trythall

September 29, 1920 — January 28, 2015

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Winifred (Fredie) Cross Trythall, 94, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2015 in Bountiful, Utah.  She was born September 29, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edward Cross and Jessie Williams.   She married Vernon Glenn Trythall on August 4, 1945. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Everyone who knew Fredie enjoyed her sense of humor and quick wit and loved to spend time visiting with her. 

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Liz) Trythall; grandson, Gavin Trythall; grand-daughter, Paige Trythall; son DeWayne (Sherrie) Trythall;  grand-daughter, Kim Sovereen; grandson, Derek (Dawn) Trythall; grandson, Kenny (Jessica) Trythall; grandson, Cody (Carly) Trythall; and 10 great grandchildren who love her dearly.  Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth, Stan and William Cross; sisters, Ada Hatch and June Ericson and her husband, Vernon Glenn Trythall.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Alpha Home Health & Hospice for the extra care she has received over the past year; especially to her nurse Sydney and her aide Crystal who had a special connection with her.  Thank you also to the staff at Legacy House Bountiful where she spent her last few months.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.  Friends and family may visit prior to the services from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.   Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.  Funeral Directors – Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers the family would invite donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Organization at www.alz.org to help fight Alzheimer’s disease through research and services.
