Winnifred Clayson

Winnifred Farr Clayson age 93 passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born May 22, 1913, the daughter of Heber Erastus and Hilda Bluth Farr in Binghampton, Arizona. She was born of goodly parents who instilled true gospel principles and a strong testimony in her life as well as her many brothers and sisters. She married Joseph Cardon Clayson May 20, 1936 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He passed away September 28, 1992. She was active in church assignments enjoying ward callings in Primary, Sunday School and the Relief Society. She loved visiting teaching. She and her husband served as temple workers in the Provo L.D.S. Temple. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, a talent from which her children and grandchildren greatly benefitted. She was an avid B.Y.U. fan and enjoyed attending sports events with her brothers and sisters. More than anything else she loved her children and grand children She is survived by her daughters: Jolene Glenn Pace and Carol Howard VanOrman both of Bountiful., a daughter-in-law LaVerde Hope of American Fork; 15 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters and brothers: Nadine Lloyd Rasmussen, Azona Lloyd, Yvonne Ted Morgan, Vontella Farr, and Mavis Farr. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son Boyd, a great-grandson Addison and many brothers and sisters. The family wishes to thank the staff of Orchard Cove and the Branch there for their loving care. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the East Provo Stake Center 156 South 900 East. Friends may call Tuesday May 1, 2007 at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary 295 North Main Street in Bountiful and on Wednesday at the church in Provo from 11:30-12:30 prior to services. Interment in the Provo City Cemetery.
