Our beloved mother, sister and daughter Ysabel Dohse, 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. She had fought a very long and hard battle with cancer. She is survived by her four children; Her daughter Betty Jo Garlock and three grandchildren; Alexia, Maia and Olive. Her Sons; Cody Dohse, who is actively serving in the Marine Corp, Bill Dohse and two grandchildren; Shakira and Brit, and Charles Dohse who just graduated from Davis High school, and will soon be serving an LDS mission; Her mother Catalina Houghton, and 11 brothers and sisters: Tellin, Guillermo, Herman, Cathy, Jaqueline, Vicky, Henry, Pilar, Samuel, Berenice. She is predeceased by her husband Richard E. Dohse, who was a Navy Veteran. Her passion in life was taking care of people, not only family, but anyone in her path that needed help, to include our veterans. We had adopted a few service members who became our grandpa’s and father figures as children. Mom was very nurturing. She had a passion for cooking for others and often invited friends and neighbors to eat with us. She also had a passion for culture, she collected movies with many Spanish style art. She was devoted catholic and always involved in charity and veteran affairs. Even after she got sick, she never stopped wanting to help others. She made friends incredibly easy and was a second mother to so many.
We would love to invite everyone and anyone whose life she touched. Come and celebrate her life and share your stories with our mom. We are having a mass on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at St. Olaf’s at 12:00 (noon) 276 E. 1700 S. Bountiful, Utah. We will also be holding a funeral service and celebration of life that same day at 4:30 p.m. at the LDS Chapel on 435 W. 400 S., Centerville, Utah.
