Yvonne Elaine Esklund Bosen, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2013 in SLC, Utah. Yvonne was born June 3, 1929 in Scipio, UT, to Francis Harmon Esklund and Violet Memmott. After graduating from Fillmore High School, she moved to Salt Lake City where she worked for Mountain Bell. She was sealed to her sweetheart, Ross Gordon Bosen, in the Salt Lake Temple on August 8, 1952.
Her greatest accomplishment was her family. She taught us the gospel as well as passing along her many homemaking skills such as sewing, cooking, and caring for a home. She encouraged each of us to learn music and go to college. Yvonne loved to quilt and made cherished quilts for her grandchildren as they married and for each of the babies as they came along. She enjoyed gardening and her yard was always a place of beauty. Yvonne was also an accomplished seamstress and made most of her girls’ clothing as they grew up.
She always felt so blessed by her posterity, welcoming each new person into the family circle. We will remember her as a gentle, gracious, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including Relief Society president, Primary President and various other teaching and leadership callings while residing in Holladay, UT, Kemmerer, WY, and Bountiful, UT. She served five years as a temple worker in the Bountiful Temple.
She is survived by her husband who tenderly cared for her; also survived by her three daughters, Pamela (Stephen) Tucker, Jennifer (Edward) Eyring, Gail (Bradley) Keeler; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two on the way.
Preceded in death by parents, siblings Arlund Esklund and Helen Robins, both of Scipio, UT, Denice Brown of Idaho Falls, ID, and son-in-law Bradley Keeler.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 7, 2013 at the Bountiful 30th Ward Chapel at 2150 South 650 East, Bountiful.
