Zane T Arvidson was born September 1, 1952 in Logan, Utah to Barbara Dean Talbot and LuVerne H. Arvidson. He grew up in Soda Springs, Idaho, and was later sealed to Donald Richard Benson and his mother Barbara. He hit the jackpot when he married Adell Marie Stoor on September 23, 1978 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He was blessed with two daughters and six grandchildren.
Zane loved fishing, camping, and his family. He taught his daughters to play baseball, fish, ride bikes, build fires, use power tools, and enjoy life. He passed on a love of the Savior and a knowledge that families are forever. Most of all, he showed them how to love, how to serve, and how to endure.
Zane served faithfully in many callings and he loved working with the youth. He passed on his love of the gospel and the outdoors to many Varsity scouts throughout the years. He was a great influence to many primary and Sunday school classes.
Throughout his life, Zane was faced with many health problems. He endured them well and died peacefully at home on the morning of October 21, 2015 surrounded by his family.
Preceded in death by brother Blake, mother Barbara Benson, and father LuVerne Arvidson.
Survived by his wife Adell, daughters Elise Shafer (Rhett) and Corinne Higginson (Colby), and grandchildren Ariana, Chloe, Carter, Amelia, Eden, and Zane.
Brothers Shane, Matthew, and Tye (Shelly), and many nieces and nephews.
Zane will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. We find peace in knowing that his body is now free from the limitations of this life. Gone fishing!
