Zelda Ruth Nix, 90,
On Sunday, Sept 4, 2011, Zelda Reid Nix graduated. She left her aches & Pains behind and joined her husband Alden and other loved ones in heaven. Her friends and family will miss her. She is happier now. We enjoyed her for Ninety years.
She was born to the late William George and Emma Malinda Reid on March 19th 1921 in Ephraim, UT. Zelda graduated from Manti High School in 1939. She married the late Alden Nix in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1940, and raised a family in Copperton, before relocating to Midvale in 1964.
Zelda was a dedicated member of the LDS faith who loved her many roles in the Relief Society and other church callings. She was a Member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family, doing puzzles, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children: Janice (Kent) Christensen, of Midvale, and Stephen (Mary Louise) Nix, of St. George. She also is survived by her brother Mel (Lorraine) Reid of Bellingham, WA, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
A viewing and funeral will be held Saturday Sept. 10th at Midvale East Sixth Ward, 7250 South 300 East, Midvale. The viewing will be held from 9:00 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral from 10:30 11:30 am. Burial will be held following the services at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
