Zina Stevens Holbrook, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2015. Zina was born February 1, 1924 to Marion Roscoe Stevens and Martha Ellen Ashby Stevens in Holden, Utah. Zina graduated from Millard High School, then moved to Salt Lake City where she worked for the telephone company and Wasatch Oil, then later in life for Davis County Bank. She married John Lloyd Holbrook of Bountiful, Utah on September 27, 1947; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Zina’s top priority was her husband and children, and through the many years of selfless service she gave to her family she set a wonderful example for her children and grandchildren to follow. During the past several months of her life, she has been a resident of Country Care Assisted Living, and the family would like to express their gratitude to the many caregivers who lovingly attended to her needs. Also, a special thanks to Jocelyn and Carie from CNS for their years of loving service.
Zina has had a happy reunion with those who preceded her in death: her loving husband, John; her mother and father; her four sisters, Afton Clark, Lenore Harker, Freda Smyth and Marian Sodja; and her brother, Oscar Stevens. Zina is survived by her children, Linda Wright (Robert), Holly Perkins (Gary), Susan Schulthies (Val), Brad (Mary) Holbrook, and Diane Perry (Doug); 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 25th at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S. 200 W.
