Zola Box Rasmussen

Zola Velate Box Rasmussen returned to her heavenly home March 25, 2008 after a brief illness. Born May 17, 1920 in Eureka, Utah to William Andrew Box and Winona Mary Brandt. She attended BYU where she met and married Levar Spens Rasmussen, June 8, 1939 and solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 26, 1942. She was an active member in the LDS Church and held many active callings over the years. With her husband they served several missions and served in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a loving mother who will be greatly missed by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who knew her. Zola was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Elsa Beth Wilks; grandson, Justin Ronald Wood; granddaughter, Melanie Rasmussen; great-grandson, Nicholas Lewis; brother, William Box, Jr. Survived by children, Judy Lewis; Andy Lori, John Diane, Winanne LaGrand Brady, Sue Steve Wanlass, Nona Edwards, 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Val Verda Stake Center, 2600 South 500 West, Bountiful. Friends and family may call Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Tuesday morning 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
