Matt is the son of Scott and Sherry (Gibb) Russon. Growing up around the family business and seeing
what his Dad did to help families gave him a sincere desire to follow in his footsteps. He grew up in
Centerville and attended Viewmont High School. After high school, Matt served a two-year, full-time
mission in Argentina for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There he learned the Spanish
language and gained compassion for others, both of which help him in his service as a funeral director.
After his mission he studied at BYU and then Weber State to obtain the necessary prerequisites for the
Mortuary Science program he would join in Houston, Texas. Those studies along with his internship with
Russon Mortuary gave him the opportunity to become licensed and to do what he loves to do: serve
families during the difficult time of the loss of a loved one and help them grieve and memorialize in the
way that will help them the most. Matt married his sweetheart, Stacy Petersen also of Centerville, and
they have seven beautiful children together. They have a home in West Farmington, and they love Davis
County and enjoy the wonderful people here.
Tyler was born and raised in Bountiful Utah. He attended Bountiful High School where he graduated in 1995. After High School he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in Lansing Michigan. After his mission he met and married Anne Vandegrift. They have 4 children and live
in Centerville, Utah. Tyler has worked at Russon Mortuary and Crematory Mortuary since 1997 and been licensed since 2004.
